Who We Are
Maura Sweeney- Reeve
Owner
Maura is the owner of Reevedale Farm and has been riding horses for the past forty years. She is the proud owner of the 2004 World Champion English Pleasure Junior Horse, Hillwood Irish Claddagh. Maura has successfully competed on the "A" level New England circuit as well as the 2009 and 2018 Morgan Grand National Horse Show in the English and Classic Pleasure Amateur divisions. In 2009, Maura was named the New England Morgan Horse Association's "Person of the Year" as recognition on her efforts and and hours spent devoted to the NEMHA. Today we can see Maura's commitment to providing the best care for our horses in everything she does at the barn.
Steve Reeve
Owner
Maura and Stephen met in 1985, and went on to create the Reevedale we know today. In 2009, Stephen completed the intricate construction of our 14 stall barn and indoor arena. It wouldn't be Reevedale Farm without Stephen! Today you can see Stephen stacking hay, fixing fences and lights, clearing trails and helping us all with barn projects. His hard work definitely does not go unnoticed! Stephen is also owner-operator of S.T. Reeve Painting and Construction INC.
Julie Lagosz
Trainer/Instructor
Julie Lagosz is the trainer and one of the instructors at Reevedale Farm. Julie came to Reevedale in 2021 after apprenticing at Mercer Springs Farm in West Virginia. Her work with the Morgan horse goes back to her early years at Hunter's Glen Morgans and has continued to expand to Saddlebreds and Hackneys. Julie graduated with her Bachelors in Therapeutic Recreation from Ithaca College and Master's in Applied Behavior Analysis from Simmons University and continues to incorporate this knowledge toward making riding and driving accessible to individuals needing accommodations.
